Paint Protection

If your vehicle has paint protection applied, our technicians are able to re-apply paint protection to your vehicle after the repairs are completed.

We use a brand called ToughSeal. The Toughseal liquid is great as it allows the paint protection to be applied after paint work, while still allowing the paint to dry correctly.  This means you won’t need to re-book your vehicle for paint protection and saves you traveling back to the dealer for reapplication. Even better, by providing us the original paint protection paperwork, Carlingford Prestige Smash Repairs will recover the cost of the application directly from your insurance company.

TOUGHSEAL PAINT PROTECTION APPLICATION PROCESS

ToughSeal Paint Protection systems are a unique NanoTech Acryloplexin cross-linking acrylic formulation, using durable PTFE suspended in the formula. The Paint Protection chemically bonds to all painted surfaces by using the elasticity of a hydrophobic film, acting as a barrier between the vehicle paint and destructive elements faced by everyday elements. These elements include fading, acid rain etching, birds line, and nasty wash chemicals.

ToughSeal Paint Protection uses a two-step application. Step 1 (Pre-Treatment), enters the pores of the painted surface to effectively remove any foreign impurities. Step 2 (Acrylic plus PTFE Sealant), chemically bonds the pores of the paintwork by sealing and protecting the now highly polished surface. As the treatment cures, the PTFE molecules elongate, interlocking, resulting in a tough bonded protective coating to the paintwork of your vehicle.

If you have a new model vehicle and have been thinking about whether to get paint protection applied, we provide affordable application pricing.

If you have recently purchased a new vehicle, Carlingford Prestige Smash Repairs provides affordable pricing on the application of the ToughSeal Paint Protection.
