The business name first started as ‘Coolah Autos’ established in a small country town called, Coolah (near Mudgee) over 40 years ago by husband-and-wife team, George and Jill. George and Jill relocated to Sydney continuing in the automotive industry, opening a shop in Carlingford, as Carlingford Prestige Smash Repairs. George and Jill retired many years ago, and they were fortunate enough to see the family-runed business continue as their son, Daniel, took over Carlingford Prestige Smash Repairs, along with the help of his sister, Jacinda.
To the success of George and Jill the business grew bigger premises were acquired in the industrial area of the neighboring suburb North Rocks. It was important to keep the name ‘Carlingford Prestige Smash Repairs’ in the reallocation due to the rapport and reputation built under the name within the local community.

Technology Advancement
Daniel along with his team have been remained forward-thinking in terms of industry requirements and latest trends and technology advancements to ensure we continue to maintain quality repairs per manufacture standards. The shop is equipped with the latest in diagnostic tools, scanners, machinery (including a dedicated aluminum bay and 4×4 measuring system) and we now can happily accommodate panel and paint repairs to commercial vans, small commuter buses and smash trucks with a new larger spray booth installed mid-2020.
We work hard to maintain both excellent customer service and quality workmanship and this is shown in reviews on Google. To help achieve this we take pride in providing a positive and friendly work environment for our staff, with many of our staff having been working with us for over 10 years.
Training and Workshop
We also maintain positive working relationships with our suppliers, including suppliers of parts, paint products, and Insurance companies. Through this network of suppliers, we can keep up to date with all relevant industry news, training, and development to the continuously changing vehicle technology. For example, we send our employees to an Australian collision repair program called I-Car. I-Car focuses on providing automotive tradesmen with skills enhancement, education, training, and information relating to the automotive collision repair industry.
